We are committed to assisting our student-athletes in their development as players and assisting them with earning college scholarships with their ACADEMIC and BASEBALL skills. The Angels Amateur Academy coaching staff is comprised of former professional and college players and coaches (some having Major League experience), who know the game and have experience in developing skills and providing the guidance of what it takes to play at the next level, be it college or the professional ranks. Our track record of first year player draft picks and Angels moving on to the college ranks in unmatched!
This past summer, the Angels participated in 9 tournaments and were in contention in every one of them. This included 2 National events, and Championship games in 3 tournaments. Established in 1983 as the Cubs High School Scout Team by longtime Cubs scout John Gracio, he continued the legacy when he came out of retirement and signed on to scout for for the LA Angels in 2004.
