ANGELS SCHOLARSHIPS
John J Gracio and Angels Amateur Baseball Form Scholarship Fund
Under the leadership of John Gracio, the Angels Amateur Baseball Academy Advisory Board voted unanimously to form a fund to be used for scholarships to be presented to winners at the completion of each winter season. In keeping with Mr. Gracio's strong belief in education, the criteria for each of the scholarships will be developed with education at the forefront, with players from the fall season being candidates. Nominations will be accepted from winter coaches and others from within the organization and the Advisory Board will select each winner. All winners must further their pursuit of education at the college level to receive the scholarship payment. Inaugural scholarship winners will be selected after the 2012 Summer Season.

Development, Exposure, and the Angel Way

Head Coach Tony Downs and his 17U Arizona State Champion AngelsJohn J. Gracio's Angels Pro Scout and Angels Amateur Baseball Program provides one of the most unique development and exposure opportunities in the country.

Started in 1983 as the Chicago Cubs High School Scout Team, "Grac" transitioned the club to the Angels when he came out of scouting retirement and signed on to scout for the LA Angels of Anaheim in 2004.

In keeping with Grac's tradition of "having fun and playing the game right", the Angels continue to set the bar for scout teams and academies. The 'Angel Way' provides instruction, feedback, and philosophies that graduate many of our former players on to college baseball and a few on to the professional ranks.
